Your questions, answered.
Who do you work with?
I work with adults in individual therapy and with couples. My areas of work include anxiety, depression, self-worth, family-of-origin concerns, relationship difficulties, and substance use.
Where are sessions held?
Office and telehealth details are awaiting confirmation before launch.
Do you offer online therapy?
Office and telehealth details are awaiting confirmation before launch.
How do I know if you are the right therapist for me?
You do not have to decide from a website. A consultation gives us a chance to talk about what you are looking for, what I can offer, and whether the fit feels reasonable. If I do not think my scope is right for what you need, I will be transparent about that.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is usually about understanding what is bringing you in, the context around it, and what you would like to be different. We will also discuss relevant history, expectations, and an initial direction for the work. You do not need to prepare a perfect summary of your life.
How long will I be in therapy?
There is no responsible universal answer. Length depends on your goals, the complexity of what you are working on, session frequency, and what changes along the way. We can revisit goals together rather than treating therapy as an open-ended obligation.
Is what I say confidential?
Therapy is confidential within legal and ethical limits. Before treatment begins, you will receive informed-consent and privacy information explaining confidentiality and its exceptions. Do not use the public website contact form to send sensitive clinical details.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. LPC-MHSPs provide psychotherapy, not medication management. If a medication evaluation appears relevant, you would work with an appropriately licensed medical provider.
What if I need help immediately?
This practice does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. In the U.S., call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
What if I need detox or a higher level of substance-use care?
Weekly outpatient therapy is not appropriate for every substance-use situation. Withdrawal from some substances may require medical care. If assessment suggests that detoxification, residential treatment, intensive outpatient care, or another level of service is needed, I will recommend a more appropriate resource.
You do not have to solve the whole thing before you ask for help.
If you are wondering whether we might work well together, start with a conversation.
